Kotova Natalia (piano)

 

Natalia Kotova has finished Secondary Special Music School and the Belarusian State Academy of Music (class of professor L.P.Yushkevich), and also post-graduate studies in the Academy (class of professor L.S.Shelomentseva).

As a student of 1st course of Belarusian State Academy of Music N.Kotova has performed with a first solo concert on the stage of the Chamber Hall of Belarusian State Philharmonic Society. Since then, the solo performances of the pianist at various concert venues in Belarus have become regular. At the same time she began her collaboration with the State Academic Symphony Orchestra, the State Chamber Orchestra of Belarus, with the orchestras of Belarusian TV and Radio Company orchestras, the National Opera and Ballet Theathre, the Belarusian Academy of Music. Natalia Kotova performed on the stages of different concert halls of Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Latvia, Germany, the Netherlands, France, Moldova, Spain, United Arab Emirates. N.Kotova participated in forums and international music festivals named after S.Richter (Ukraine, 1998), "Martishor" (Moldova 2006), Euregio music festival (Germany, the Netherlands, 2007), "Three centuries of classical romance» (Russia, 2007), Russian Music Festival named after M. Glinka (Russia, 2009), "Amber bunch" (Moldova, 2007, 2010, 2013), "Magic Piano" (Belarus, 2011), «XX International Festival of the piano stars» (Latvia 2012), VIII International Festival named after Y. Bashmet (Belarus, 2013), LVI International Festival of Contemporary Music "Warsaw Autumn" (Poland, 2013), International Forum «The World Classical Music Series» (UAE, 2015).

The pianist has performed with orchestras under the control of G.Provatorov, A.Galanov, P.Vandilovski, I.Buhvalova, M.Kozinets, Z.Navarra, M.Agafitsa, Y.Rusy, T.Voytsehovski.
Since 1998 Natalia Kotova plays piano duet with Valery Borovikov in Belarusian State Philharmonic Society. As a part of the ensemble she is constantly working on updating and enriching the repertoire, searching new concert forms. Since 2008 N. Kotova is one of the initiators and organizers of the International Evening of piano duets in the Republic of Belarus «Duettissimo», which are held with the participation of musicians from different countries.

N. Kotova pays a lot of attention to the execution of chamber and vocal music, collaborating with soloists of the National Academic Opera Theater of the Republic of Belarus. On concert stages of Belarus were presented the program "Vocal cycles of the twentieth century", "With love to the woman," "The roads", "To the beloved shores" and others.

With the participation of N.Kotova passed recitals of the Belarusian composers S.Kortes, E.Nosko, D.Smolsky.

Natalia Kotova successfully combines performing activities with lecturing and research, as assistant of the professor of special piano department of Belarusian State Academy of Music. Among her students are laureates and winners of international competitions, scholarship holders of the fund of the President of Belarus on support of talented youth. She actively participates in international conferences, publishes in Russian and Belarusian media.

Creative activities pianist awarded with the honorary diploma of the Republican Piano Competition (1992, Minsk), Special Jury Prize of the I International Piano Competition named after N.Lysenko (1993, Kiev), Diploma of the best accompanist of the International Competition named after M. Glinka (2003, Astrakhan), as well as diplomas for highly professional pedagogical activities for the preparation of the participants of the Open International Competition of pianists and piano ensembles in memory of F.Chopin (2002, Moscow), the International Competition of Young Performers "The Art of the 21st Century" (2006, Kiev), International Piano Competition, piano duets, chamber ensembles named after M.Yudina (2011, St. Petersburg), the XX International children's competition of piano duets "Brother and Sister" (2015, St. Petersburg), and gratitude of the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Belarus (2011).
