The program is designed for the most sophisticated lover of jazz and classical art. Here, popular works by Russian and foreign composers will acquire a new style of performance. Ballet melodies by Tchaikovsky, opera arias by Verdi and Rimsky-Korsakov, waltzes by Strauss, Sibelius and Ivanovich, symphonic works by Glinka, Mussorgsky, Grieg and others will sound in jazz swing rhythms. And famous Belarusian and Russian folk melodies will be presented in the form of jazz standards.
The concert is based on compositions from the repertoire of jazz orchestras conducted by Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington, Eddie Rosner, Tommy Dorsey, Gene Krupa, Maynard Ferguson and Mikhail Finberg.
