On 5th November, 2017 (Sunday) at 19:00 in the Big Hall of the Belarusian State Philharmonic Society the State Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus under the direction of Alexander Anissimov will present Verdi's opera “Otello” after five-years break.

This evening is a second part of the holiday (after “Missa solemnis” by L.van Beethoven on 26 October) which dedicates to the anniversary of maestro Alexander Anissimov.

Just as in other opera productions of the orchestra, starry cast of the soloists will come on the stage of the Belarusian State Philharmonic Society in the opera “Otello”. The soloists will be from different countries: Piero Giuliacci – Othello (Italy), Irina Krikunova – Desdemona (Russia), Domenico Baltisani – Iago (Italy), Ivan Mikhailov – Cassio (Russia), Belarusian singers Dmitry Kapilov – Lodovico, Montano, Alexander Mikhnyuk – Rodrigo, Kriskentia Stasenko – Emilia.

State Academic Choir of the Republic of Belarus named after G. Shirma will be in the play.

Italian director Carlo Antonio de Lucia worked out the scenic score.

The project is supported by the Embassy of the Italian Republic in the Republic of Belarus within a framework of the Year for the Italian Culture in Belarus, and also by the company “Regula”.
