Many volumes of literature are dedicated to Mozart: musical, biographical, prose, poetry, etc. All his famous letters, memoirs of his contemporaries have been published... But his music speaks best about the great composer.

Four years before Mozart wrote the Requiem, he wrote to his father Leopold: “... since death (strictly speaking) is the true final Goal of our life, over the past few years I have become so acquainted with this true, best friend of Man that in her For me now there is not only nothing frightening in the image, but also a lot of soothing and comforting!..”

With all the popularity of Mozart’s music, “Requiem” and Symphony No.40 were and remain the most famous works from the pen of the Austrian classical genius.

On April 18, these masterpieces will be performed by the State Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus with the participation of the State Academic Choir named after G.Shirma and guest soloists-vocalists Irina Krikunova, Ksenia Malakhveychuk, Vasily Lipsky and Anton Korchevsky.

The conductor is People’s Artist of Belarus Alexander Anisimov.
