It would seem that there is nothing in common between the saxophone and classical music. But the quartet “Saxas” in the program “Classics for Everyone" once again undertakes to destroy established stereotypes. In this program there will not be a single original composition for the saxophone, but only arrangements of masterpieces of world classical music will be performed. The subtlest lyricism of the works of Felix Mendelssohn and Alexander Glazunov, the music of the famous operas of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Georges Bizet, the true spirit of Spain in the music of Isaac Albeniz and Manuel de Falla, the enchanting rhythms of the king of tango Astor Piazzolla and much more – all this awaits listeners at the concert of the saxophone quartet “Saxas”!
