L. van Beethoven – “Missa solemnis” in D major, op. 123

Today maestro Anissimov is one of the most demanded conductors of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation.

The conductor is the welcome guest of the symphony orchestras and theatres in Europe, Asia, and America in spite of continual entrances (sometimes three times a month) on the native scene of the Belarusian State Philharmonic Society. It’s amazing, that he pours his energy to his favorite occupation more than 50 years.

musical programmes of A. Anissimov are detailed and skillfully staged and, as a rule, with a obliging surprise, premiere or an unexpected turn. The maestro bravely opens the scores of contemporary Belarusian authors. Also he experiments, acquaints the viewer with new soloists and seeks new and unexpected forms of communication with the audience.

But his programmes of classical music, which are rarely performed and even completely unknown in Minsk, are special interest: Kancheli, Shostakovich, Prokofiev, Bartok, R. Strauss, Zemlinsky, Wagner, Bach and Handel.

for his own anniversary concert on October, 26 the maestro has chosen the composition about which there is no exact information in the archives of the Belarusian State Philharmonic Society and it's unknown whether this composition was performed in Minsk. In all circumstances during the last 40 years have not been exactly. This is about the “Solemn Mass” of Ludwig van Beethoven. The grandiose fresco (120 minutes), a masterpiece of world classical music – it constitutes the one of the most popular works of the world symphonic repertoire. There are many challenges for performing this mass by all its performers: by the orchestra, the choir, the soloists, the organist and the conductor. With that in mind the intrigue of this evening is the more attractive.

is a supreme confidence that an absolutely unusual finding awaits us this evening, that all performers on the stage will carry the enormous energy of this masterpiece and will bear the divine light of this music into this hall.

The State Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus, State Academic Choir of the Republic of Belarus n .a. G. Shirma, soloists - Irina Krikunova (Russia), Svetlana Shilova (Bolshoi Theatre, Russia), Gerhard Schulz (Germany), Maxim Kuzmin-Karavaev (the New Opera, Russia) and of course the hero of an anniversary Alexander Anissimov.
