The Honoured Collective State Chamber Choir of the Republic of Belarus for over 30 years made their auditory happy with glorious music, fascinating programmes and bright premiere performances.
Now, at the day of its anniversary the collective invites the listeners to go on a fascinating musical journey. One will hear the best music pieces from different countries of the world, famous movie soundtracks, and masterpieces of popular music without big talks, arrogance and boring formalities.

The State Chamber Choir of the Republic of Belarus began its creative activity in 1988 under the direction of a talented and charismatic conductor, graduate of N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov Leningrad Conservatory, Honoured Figure of Art of the Republic of Belarus Igor Matukhov.
Since 2000 the collective works with an Honoured Artist of the Republic of Belarus Natalia Mikhailova. Immense erudition, high level of artistic culture and deep knowledge in music characterize Natalia Mikhailova as one of the brightest personalities of the Belarusian music art.
Nowadays the repertoire of the State Chamber Choir is really diverse. This is a unique collective which constantly expands the understanding of the capabilities of the chamber choir with its creative activity, performing the compositions in the genre of a choir theatre and musical parable (premiere compositions by L. Simakovich “Yakub Kolas Square” and “The Apocrypha”) and presenting to the public such works as “The Little Antiformalistic Paradise” by D. Shostakovich and concert performance of the operas “The Lottery” by S. Moniushko, “Cio-Cio-San” by G. Puccini, “Pagliacci” by R. Leoncavallo and a great number of old and modern music “a cappella”.
The whole creative career of the choir was marked by the fruitful work with the outstanding Belarusian composers, who wrote their compositions especially for the choir. Among them there are I. Luchenok, A. Mdivani, L. Zakhlevny, A. Bondarenko, V.Kopytko, L. Simakovich, O. Khodosko, E.Atrashkevich, E. Poplavsky, A. Zaliotnev, D. Lybin, S. Bugasov, V.Karizna.
The Chamber Choir of the Belarusian State Philharmonic Society is admired in each corner of our republic as well as in Poland, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Italy, Estonia, Belgium, Lithuania, Latvia, Bulgaria, Serbia, Russia and Ukraine.
During the 30 years of its creative activity the State Chamber Choir of the Republic of Belarus has had a chance to work with a great number world-known artists, prominent performers and conductors, among whom there are Dmitri Hvorostovsky (baritone, Russia), Leonid Chizhik (piano, Germany), Mechthild Bach (soprano, Germany), Joachim Höchbauer (bass, Germany), Eva Kleinhans (soprano, Germany), Francesco Anile (tenor, Italy), Anatoly Lapikus and Yury Makhovich (piano, Moldova), Yevgeny Bushkov (Russia), Alexander Anissimov (Belarus), Andrea Angelini (Italy), Ennio Morricone (Italy), Ira Spaulding (the USA) and many others.
