Natalia Arutiunova was born in Minsk. She graduated from Specialized music school under A.V. Lunacharsky Belarusian State Conservatoire and Belarusian State Academy of Music where also did a master course (class of professor T.P. Sergeenko). Natalia Arutiunova is a laureate of the I National Contest n.a. I. Zhinovich (I prize). She performed as a soloist with the State Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus (conductors Y. Efimov, Y. Tsiriuk), the State Chamber Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus (P. Vandilovsky), the State Orchestra of Symphonic and Pop Music of the Republic of Belarus under the direction of Mikhail Finberg, the Orchestra of Wind Instruments "Nemiga" (A. Berin), the National Academic Folk Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus named after I. Zhinovich (M. Kozinets), the Ensemble of Soloists "Classic-Avantgarde" (V. Baidov).
In 1995 Natalia Arutiunova and Tatiana Shumakova gave a solo concert at the Chamber Hall of the Warsaw Philharmonic.
Since 1996 Arutiunova has worked at the Belarusian State Philharmonic Society as a soloist of trio "Konsonans" together with Tatiana Shumakova and Valery Borovikov.
Besides Natalia perfomed in a dulcimer duet together with Amadeus Chamber Orchestra of Polish Radio and Television under the direction of Agnieszka Duczmal at the Congress Hall in Warsaw and at the National Concert Hall in Dublin (Ireland). She also played together with chamber and symphony orchestras at the Royal Castle in Warsaw (V. Porchinski) and the Zielona Gora Philharmonic (Poland) with the conductor Cz. Grabowski.
As a musician of trio "Konsonans" Natalia Arutiunova performed in the frames of the Decade of Belarusian Art in the Republic of Moldova, the Dulcimer World Congress (Mogilev), in Ukraine, the V International Festival of Organ and Chamber Music in Trzebnica (Poland).
In 2001 she became a laureate and a diploma holder (I prize) at the International Festival-competition of Folk Instruments Performers in Pskov (Russia) and in 2002 she got the Silver Cup at the XX International Festival-competition in Pyongyang (North Korea).
In 2004 she took part in a concert dedicated to the creative activity of such Belarusian composers as D. Smolsky, V. Voitik, V. Kurian, L. Shleg, D. Evtukhovich, V. Zhivalevsky, A. Drukt, A. Mdivani, I. Luchenok. Besides, she took part in a joint project of trio "Konsonans, the State Chamber Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus and members of the Belarusian Union of Artists called "In the World of Sounds and Colours" and in the project "Transcriptions by Valery Borovikov".
In 2011 Natalia Arutiunova was one of the initiators and soloists of the project "The Sublime and The Terrestrial", which was organized together with the Ensemble of Soloists "Classic-Avantgarde", Tatiana Shumakova and the International Centre of the Roerichs. During the concerts the musicians made the compositions by the Belarusian conductors O. Yanchenko (Concert for dulcimer), V. Voitic and others sound in another way. Moreover, that was the first time when an exhibition of a famous comic artist O. Vysotsky (Tallinn) took place.
Natalia Arutiunova performed at the International Music Festival "Martisor" (Moldova, 2011), the 55 International Music Festival named after M. Glinka together with Smolensk Russian Folk Orchestra named after Dubrovsky under the direction of N. Stepanov.
Arutiunova went on tour to Poland and participated in folklore festivals in Germany (Friedrichshafen, Bamberg).
In May 2015 as a member of trio "Konsonans" Natalia participated in the ceremony, dedicated to the opening of the exhibition "Vasil Bykov. Long Way Back Home", which took place in the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Russian Federation.
