Belarusian poetic one-man theatre "Znіch"

"Znitch" – is the only theatre in Belarus which works in the genre of "mono performance". It was created in 1989 by its permanent leader and artistic director Galina Diagileva.

The main repertoire line of the theatre is the popularization of the works of Belarusian authors and world classics.

The "Znitch" theatre has not once took part in different international "Mono performance"

festivals in Minsk , Moscow , Volgograd , Perm , Kiev and Belostok, and has always become Laureate, Diploma or Prize winner of the festivals.

The researcher of the Belarusian folklore, life, live a man who knew truly Belarusian dialects Nil Hilevich created a kind of a poetic suite, which blends humor and heartfelt love music, where we hear “melodies of his native land.”

The poem by Y. Kolas “Life Lines” is a real and extremely valuable encyclopedia of life. The protagonist Mikhail was born, grew up and lived in the land which he not just understood and loved – this was the land where he breathed, which was his home, the land which was his one and only. But the destiny has predetermined other things…The life of this person was hard, however he didn't lose faith in its happy end. During the performance there sound folk melodies and the song “Roads” by the famous Belarusian composer Oleg Zaliotnev.

What does support a person in his life? What does help him to survive during the catastrophe? Only rue and eternal values help us: compassion, hope, faithfulness, duty and…love, which always presents even if our dearest people left us. Mother is the dearest person for everyone. The poetry by Grigory Ivanovich Borodulin and the plot of the fantasy play by K. Čapek help us to find the truth in our soul. In the story mother Dolores is surrounded by her sons: a doctor Ondřej, a pilot Jiří, Petr a Kornel, and the youngest Toni who wrote verses. The viewers are invited to take part in a sincere talk under the light of the lamp like at home…
