The State Chamber Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus and its chief conductor Honoured Artist of the Russian Federation Evgeny Bushkov resume the project “CLASSICS IS COOL!”. Since its creation in 2003, this special and unique in its form creative project of the maestro, in which Evgeny Bushkov also acts as a narrator, has quickly gained popularity. The concert cycle of afternoon concerts is addressed to the widest possible audience. It is of interest both to the younger generation, where young listeners are introduced to the classics, its mysteries, meanings and nuances in an easy and accessible form, and to adult admirers of academic music.
On 27 April in the Big Concert Hall of the Belarusian Philharmonic Society you will hear an absolutely extraordinary programme of the cycle, which is called “Duel of the Two Letters “Sh”! In this programme you will have to become real “referees” and judge the battle between two composers competing in “lightweight” – the two letters “Sh” who lived and created in different centuries, but became the most famous and popular – Johann Strauss and Dmitri Shostakovich!
Whose musical jokes will be funnier and whose imagination will be more inventive? After all, Dmitry Dmitrievich had his own answers to all the cadrilles, polkas and gallops of the “King of Waltzes”...!
Evgeny Bushkov, as before, remains true to his main postulate: no one will be bored at the concerts cycle “Classics are cool!”
