The splendor of the Baroque and the sophistication of the Renaissance in a new program of vocal and instrumental music.
The State Chamber Choir of Belarus, under the direction of Honored Artist Natalya Mikhailova, will perform motets and madrigals by Italian masters, in whose work the art of the Renaissance reached its highest peak. Works by Monteverdi, Banchieri and Caccini will be performed in different ensemble compositions.
An interesting accent will be Belarusian instrumental music of the Renaissance – a duet of guitar and harpsichord will present to the public compositions of the royal court from the time of Sigismund III Vasa.
A special atmosphere of the era will be created by the unique sound of a master lute, on which famous medieval melodies will be performed.
Expressive and pretentious baroque will be revealed by the contrasting imagery of the works of Johann Sebastian Bach, the subtlety and soulfulness of French harpsichord music, the polyphonic skill and grace of Italian composers – Martini, Gasparini, Scarlatti.
