On October 19, 2021, a unique organ of the Belarusian State Philharmonic Society will open its new concert season. And since the organ is the universally recognized king of musical instruments and the organ of the Minsk Philharmonic is also the largest representative of its family in Belarus, the Big concert Hall will begin the organ season kingly, with an apotheosis.

“Apotheosis of Trumpets” is the first concert of the cycle “Masterpieces of the World Organ Art” by the famous Belarusian musicologist Olga Savitskaya. On this evening, thousands of trumpets of the gigantic “Rieger-Kloss” will respond with many voices in organ music of the 17th – 20th centuries. Compositions by J.S.Bach, J.-Ph.Rameau, L.-N.Clerambault, J.-B.Lully, H.Purcell, G.F.Handel, F.Mendelssohn, R.Vaughan Williams, Ch.Ives will be performed by the soloist who keeps her own secret of taming the Belarusian “giant” – the titular organist of the Moscow International Performing Arts Center, Honored Artist of Russia Lyudmila Golub.

“Lyudmila Golub is an excellent organist, possessing the «secrets» (by no means all comprehended), hidden in this instrument, originating in the mists of time,” the famous conductor Yevgeny Svetlanov said about the performer’s art. Ludmila Golub has been known to Belarusian listeners for a long time: her performances in the hall of the Belarusian State Philharmonic Society and in the concert hall “St. Sofia Cathedral in Polotsk” cause constant public’s fascination.
