Gala Concert of the 1st International Harp Festival-Competition “ON THE HARP STRINGS”
On November 22, the Gala Concert of the 1st International Harp Festival-Competition “On the Harp Strings” will be held in the Small Hall n.a. G.Shirma of the Belarusian State Philharmonic, accompanied by the State Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus. The chief conductor is People’s Artist of Belarus Alexander Anisimov.
The International Harp Festival-Competition “On the Harp Strings” invites Belarusian spectators to a unique concert of harp music, where the most striking works for harp and symphony orchestra, written by French and Russian composers for the classical harp, from the second half of the 19th century to the second half of the 20th century, will be performed. This period can truly be considered the heyday of the harp concert repertoire. Talented harpists from Russia and Belarus will demonstrate their performing skills in the works of F.A.Boieldieu, C.Saint-Saëns, G.Taillefer and R.Gliere.
Soloists:
Natalia Shameeva – Honored Artist of Russia, Honored Artist of Russia, soloist of the Symphony Orchestra of the Bolshoi Theater of Russia 1970–2003, professor of the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music.
Maria Krushevskaya – concertmaster of the harp group of the Bolshoi Theater of Russia since 2019, soloist of the Mariinsky Theater Orchestra (2013–2019), laureate of all-Russian and international competitions;
Veronika Grabovskaya – concertmaster of the harp group of the Bolshoi Theater of Belarus, laureate of international competitions, artistic director of the 1st International Harp Festival-Competition “On the Harp Strings”;
Zlata Kryachkova – soloist of the National Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan, winner of the State Prize of the Republic of Uzbekistan "NIHOL";
Nina Kupriyanova – soloist of the State Academic Symphony Orchestra named after E.F. Svetlanov (Russia), laureate of international competitions;
Ekaterina Zhuravleva – soloist of the Bolshoi Theater of Belarus (2013–2022), invited soloist of the Nord Nederland Orkest (Netherlands).
