On December 30, listeners will have the amazing opportunity to get to know the magnificent sound of the contrabass better. On the stage of the Small Hall n.a. G.Shirma of the Belarusian State Philharmonic, in the hands of the outstanding performer Andrei Shinkevich, the contrabass will transform from an orchestral instrument into a solo instrument. The expressive and pleasing low frequencies of the contrabass, enveloped in the gentle sounds of the piano, performed by international competition laureate and leading soloist of the Philharmonic, Alexander Muzykantov, will revive the vibrant musical images of J.Brahms, G.Fauré, and R.Strauss.

The concert’s soloists will be captivated by the fact that the contrabass and piano are instruments not only of classical music, but also of jazz, tango, and other musical genres.
