On October 31, the State Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus will host a concert in the Big Concert Hall of the Belarusian State Philharmonic Society as part of the project “Russian Piano School. Masters and Our Future” with the support of the company “Empire of Music”.
The soloist of the concert is one of the most prominent representatives of the young generation of Russian pianists, laureate of numerous international competitions, including bronze prize winner of the International Tchaikovsky Competition Ilya PAPOYAN. In life, Ilya is quite reserved – but on stage he gives free rein to his temperament, emotions, thoughts. Perhaps that is why the concerts of the young pianist are so sincere and interesting for the public.
The concert program is non-standard and is a kind of challenge for the orchestra, consisting of four piano pieces that are linked by one style. The pianist himself says about the choice of the program: “I have recently started performing classical jazz and have become incredibly imbued with this genre. This program contains both domestic and foreign jazz, as well as the motives of its origin in the music of Ravel ...”.
This evening, Yuri Karavaev will be conducting the State Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus.
