The new concert program will showcase the bright pages of chamber music by great composers of different eras-from the Renaissance to Romanticism.
Listeners will be able to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of castle and manor music of the XVI-XVII centuries, Western European salon music of the XVIII–XIX centuries and enjoy Russian classical romance.
Best voices of the honored collective the State Chamber Choir of Belarus will present a program of chamber vocal and instrumental music to the public in the Small Hall named after G.Shirma of the Belarusian State Philharmonic.
The concept of the concert is connected with the rich history of home music making, covering different musical styles and genres.
The performance of works by a small group of instrumentalists and / or vocalists has remained a popular pastime for music lovers for many centuries.
You will hear Italian canzones by the Renaissance composer Giovanni Domenico da Nola, medieval dances for lute, vocal compositions by Giovanni Legrenzi, Jean-Baptiste Weckerlin, Gaetano Donizetti, Jacques Offenbach, Camille Saint-Saens, Mikhail Glinka, as well as “Romance” for piano by Pyotr Tchaikovsky.
